Lexi loo

Little Miss Lexi has had quite a few eventful weeks here in the PICU.  We came in because she was gasping for air even on her ventilator at home.  She was admitted with RSV and 2 other viruses (common cold type stuff).  Then we added pneumonia on top of it and now we are fighting fluid on her lungs.  She's had several up and down moments this trip.  Her X-ray seemed to get better then worse a few times and we have been in a non-stop battle with ventilator settings.  Her poor lungs are very sick.  In order to give them maximum healing and rest time she got a PICC line today and is now being sedated so she isn't pushing against the ventilator.  Join us in praying for her healing and comfort in the process.

It is always incredibly hard in the hospital surrounded by so many memories and flashbacks.  Flashbacks to great moments and victories we have shared with our girls here along with excruciatingly painful ones.  We are actually in the room that Isobel was in exactly a year ago on this date when she was here with pneumonia (and Alexis was next door).  We are surrounded by familiar faces which is bittersweet.  We know we are in great hands and that God has his hand on all of us.  We are thankful for your thoughts and prayers!

Here is my happy memory/warm thought picture for the day:
