This morning we got to sit through rounds (this is Dave's favorite part of the day because he likes to pretend he's on House). We like this time to hear what the team is processing through. Isobel had two more episodes of apnea last night and needed positive air to jump start her breathing. The team said this could be related to fluid build up in her brain or could still be after effects of being under for surgery. They discussed doing an MRI and decided to hold off on that. The plan for right now is to wait and do another ultrasound of her head on Monday to look at the fluid levels and go from there. The only exception would be if they started to see her head circumference increase rapidly in the next few days. We are VERY excited that she will have the weekend to let her body recover from surgery and to help her wake up a little more. It's amazing how fast their bodies heal as she already had the bandage from surgery removed.
