They moved her tummy scope to today before her shunt surgery so that she didn't have to go under anesthesia 3 days in a row. So today scope happened while they were prepping her for shunt surgery and they didn't like what they saw in order to put the shunt back in. There was another fluid collection in her belly and things were swollen. So the peds surgeon opened her belly up and found she needed to reposition some of her large intestine.
So new plan. Wait. Some. More. Continue. To. Learn. Patience. Heal.
Fluid is in the lab to see if it's infection and we have to wait at least a week for her intestine to heal before they will look to put back in her shunt.
Not what we were hoping for, not what was in our plans. However, grateful for skilled surgeons and eyes that caught what would have caused even more issues. Thankful to know it is all in HIS plan-
Praying for sweet Isobel and your whole family! ((hugs))
